I'm writing to commend your work with Black young people, Eddie. Although the myth of the lack of "role models" is well-established in the American mind, the truth is that there is a lack of publication of the efforts of Black male role models such as yourself in the white-news media. And it's quite intentional. Part of denying us self-determination is denying us news about what we are doing all over the country, every day, to make our lives better.
ReplyDeleteWith the AfroSpear, we report directly to the Black community nationally, without using the white-news media as an intermediary, because we know that the white media focuses on white-news, which mostly includes only bad news about Black people.
So, thanks for your efforts in the world and for reporting your efforts directly to us through your Eddie G. Griffin (BASG) blog!
Thanks Francis. This Afrosphere keeps me reading, thinking, and writing... a very stimulating source of synergy (where outcome exceeds total input)
