I have many news clips of Darlene and Hiller's run with the law and a few pictures. I'd be happy to share what I have. You can message me on my facebook page.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01708948992599080936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815287532094385757.post-46566474589313254432015-11-04T21:38:43.558-07:002015-11-04T21:38:43.558-07:00I also do genealogy and Hiller is related to me. H...I also do genealogy and Hiller is related to me. He is the nephew of my grandmother. Hiller had at least one living relative when he died, a sister, Lahoma Hayes. She died in 1983. When Hiller was ll, his mom was moved into a sanitarium. She had diabetes really bad, and ended up dying of gangrene of the foot 11 years later. So Hiller was without a mother at a young age. My grandmother described him as always being in trouble, and the earliest news clip I have of him is when he was 14 and arrested. I have many other news clips of him being in trouble with the law also. His dad was an abusive drunk which explains why he ran away from home. I am looking forward to reading the information as well.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01708948992599080936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815287532094385757.post-38774904458281192872015-11-04T21:30:04.444-07:002015-11-04T21:30:04.444-07:00I also do genealogy, and Hiller was the son of Fra...I also do genealogy, and Hiller was the son of Franklin Hayes, who was my great grandfather's brother. Hiller was the last of 7 children, and he had at least one sister still alive when he died. Her name was Lahoma Hayes. She died in 1983. One brother Howard died in 1968, his mom in 1951, and his dad in 1972. My grandmother, said that Hiller was always in trouble as a kid. I have found many newspaper articles of him being in trouble with the law, the earliest was at age 14. But according to my grandmother, Hiller's father was a real jerk (her uncle), was a drunk abuser. When Hiller was 11, his mom was checked into the Merlin Sanitarium. She lived there for 11 years before she died of diabetes and gangrene of the foot. So in the 1940 Census, Hiller was the last child living at home, and soon without his mom, and his dad was abusive. I have been in touch with Lahomas Hayes's daughter, but we have not discussed Hiller. I am looking forward to reading this information.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01708948992599080936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815287532094385757.post-57265801883710827742015-06-08T21:47:47.833-07:002015-06-08T21:47:47.833-07:00I am Vivian Darlene's daughter. No adult ever talked about her being in prison so I have never heard the real story. My question is how did he meet my mother? How did they end up in Missouri? Did he kidnap her? Why did she pull out a gun from her purse? It is very confusing. I would love to hear Red's story of her innocence. She served 12 years in prison before she was let out on parole for good behavior. She was in a halfway house for 6 months met and then married another man who also was in a halfway house. In 2 years she gave birth to a babygirl and that night had a stroke. She was in a coma for 6 months, a semi coma for 6 months, she woke up but didnt walk or talk again. She died a few years later. I met her when I was 17 but she never told me who my father was or about her time in prison. I can be messaged on my facebook page Kathryn Cox, I pray I will hear from you, I was near Austin Texas when I first saw your entry after I googled my mothers name.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815287532094385757.post-13168408803248295922014-01-20T21:02:39.496-07:002014-01-20T21:02:39.496-07:00I was always under the impression that Red Hayes h...I was always under the impression that Red Hayes had no living relatives.
